New to the ratio: team

It’s been an exciting year for ratio: as we continue the successful growth and development of our company, and with it we welcome more new staff over the last couple of months.

Joining our Planning team is . . .

Jennifer Kemp joins our team as a Planner. Jen comes to ratio: after 4 years at Moonee Valley City Council and has also worked at Brimbank City Council. Jen has experience in assessing complex applications ranging from pre-application meetings, to delegate reporting, Council reporting and VCAT appeals, applying legislation, reviewing regulations and much more. Jen is happy to be back and working with Brian Minogue, Snr ratio: Planner who is also ex Moonee Valley.

Claire Whelan joins our team as a Senior Planner. Claire has advanced skills in assessing applications and negotiating with Council, enabling an ability to identify and address potential issues at the early stages and avoid delays throughout the process. In addition, she has a thorough understanding of Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) processes and has presented at the tribunal on a number of occasions. Claire comes to ratio: after 18 months at David Lock and Associates, but no surprises, she was at Moonee Valley City Council before that for more than 3 years, so we have a real reunion happening.

Joining our Traffic team is . . .

John Ahearne joins our team as a Traffic Engineer. After moving to Melbourne in 2008, John took up a position with the City of Port Phillip, later joining VicRoads where he has been for the last 7 years keeping consulting teams like ratio: at bay. Amongst his duties John assessed, Traffic Impacts, Functional Layout Drawings, Development Permit Applications and Expert Witness Statements.

Elaine Chan joins our team as an Environmental Engineer. Elaine is a project manager with experience in design and construction of energy efficient building projects. Her work includes the development of a diverse range of energy efficient project proposals including water, lighting and greenhouse reduction. Elaine brings all of this experience to her focus on Waste Management projects for ratio:

Maxine Krause joins ratio: as our new receptionist and Admin support. Maxine has a background in reception, customer service and Executive Assistant duties from her work in Sydney and in London and is bringing a smile to our clients and our team from our front desk.

We are very pleased to welcome all our new team members and we know they’ll make a significant contribution to our team and the service we provide to our clients.
