Russell Symons is one of two Directors responsible for the Traffic Engineering and Sustainable Transport Planning Team at Ratio Consultants as well as Managing Director.
Russell has more than thirty year's professional experience, mainly in a consulting environment. Prior to the formation of Ratio, Russell was a Director of Pak-Poy & Kneebone Pty Ltd, managing offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Kuala Lumpur. A founding Director of Ratio, Russell is renowned throughout the industry for his expertise, including extensive work before VCAT.
Russell has developed a strong and growing client base including corporates, architects / designers and local government. In recent years, Russell has become an industry leader in sustainable transport.
Russell Fairlie

Russell Fairlie is a Director at Ratio Consultants with key responsibilities in the area of Traffic Engineering and Sustainable Transport Planning.
Russell has over twenty five years experience in a diverse range of traffic and transport related areas, gained during his extensive experience in consulting, local government and VicRoads. Russell has been directly involved in a wide range of significant development and urban renewal projects. He provides high level professional advice to the firm's clients, including leading architectural and planning firms across Melbourne. Russell is a highly successful expert at VCAT and appears there on a regular basis.
David Crowder

David Crowder is one of two Directors responsible for the Urban Planning Team at Ratio Consultants. David has over twenty years experience gained within the private and public sectors both based in Victoria and overseas. David is a highly successful expert at VCAT and has an excellent understanding of significant residential, industrial and commercial redevelopments.
Colleen Peterson
B.P.D. (Hons) (Melb)
Colleen is a Director of the Urban Planning Team at Ratio. Colleen has over fifteen years experience in planning, working both the public and private sector, holding senior positions in both local government and other consultancies. Colleen has worked for many years on a number of Melbourne's largest projects, successfully guiding a wide range of clients through the planning process. With extensive experience in residential, industrial and commercial development, Colleen is renowned for her work in Social and Economic Impact Assessment and provision of expert evidence at VCAT.
