Evocative South Yarra development Como Terraces, proudly developed by Cbus Property and Sterling Global, has recently come to the market. Integrating effortlessly into the Como Hills environs, 39 beautifully appointed residences across eight modernist buildings enjoy frontages to the highly sought-after Alexandra Avenue and unimpeded views of the Yarra River and Melbourne city skyline beyond.

Ratio’s relationship with Como Terraces began in 2017 as traffic and waste consultants for the project. Ratio’s traffic team negotiated the vagaries of the steep development site, which comprised landscapes of varying levels and subsequent project constraints. The traffic team prepared functional layouts and road safety audits for the development, gained approval access for traffic entering the site from Alexandra Avenue, and accommodated a wide-range of vehicles with generous on-site parking provisions.

Ratio’s waste management team provided design and strategic waste management advice, preparing a Waste Management Plan which accompanied the town planning and Secondary Consent applications for the ambitious development. The precipitous terrain of the site resulted in staggered designs for basement levels of the development, rendering typical waste storage locations unsuitable. Ratio devised an alternate waste management system comprising two waste holding areas and multiple waste drop-off rooms spread across all basement levels, ensuring convenient access to residents.

Como Terraces is well placed to enjoy the status of a suburban icon with the collaboration of leading property developers Cbus Property and Sterling Global, award-winning Melbourne-based architecture and interior design firm, Carr, landscape architects, Taylor Cullity Lethlean (T.C.L).
