The highest building outside Melbourne’s city centre has been approved, with VCAT giving its approval for the 50-storey Capitol Grand development at the corner of Chapel Street and Toorak Road, South Yarra. The building, designed by Bates Smart architects and landscape architect Jack Merlo, will have over 450 apartments and luxury retail tenancies at podium level.
