Project Summary: Planning and functional design of customer carparks, truck loading areas and site access from major road frontages.
Key Issues: Easy access by car for customers, safe pedestrian movement, suitable access / loading for large trucks.

Ratio was appointed by Bunnings and /or its Project Managers or Architects to provide traffic engineering for new Warehouse Distribution Centres in:
- Altona
- Croydon
- Epping
- Mentone
- Nunawading
- Preston
- Scoresby
- Springvale
- Sunshine
Services provided commenced, in most cases, with Planning Permit approvals and negotiations with Council and VicRoads. Once approved, Ratio worked with other design consultants in:
- Planning and design of carpark and truck loading areas; and
- Detailed design of traffic signals layout for site access points.

The Challenge:
To achieve a high level of customer accessibility and convenience on sites dominated by large, bulky buildings with inflexible shapes, all at minimum cost.
The Approach:
Applying standard traffic engineering techniques with creative response to site conditions and client needs.
The Result:
Successful and profitable development and on-going operation.
