A mixed-use residentially focussed development in South Melbourne has been granted a permit amendment.

Designed by Bates Smart, the 18-storey building is located at 200-204 Wells Street, South Melbourne and will provide office and luxury apartments situated above ground-level retail opportunities.

Ratio’s planning team was engaged to lodge a Section 87a Amendment application with VCAT on behalf of the new landowner. The team managed the intricacies of DDO26 controls, changes proposed to the original permit granted by VCAT and assisted the project’s legal team, HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, throughout the various steps of the VCAT process.    

The development is located within walking distance of the botanical gardens, Albert Park and the new Anzac Station and is due to hit the market in 2022.
